While exploring the depths of an abandoned space station, a group of young space colonists come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. 'Alien: Romulus' Stars Cailee Spaeny and Isabela Merced reveal why director Fede Alvarez used practical effects and animatronic xenomorphs to terrorize his cast. Physical scenery, practical creatures and miniatures were used wherever possible to aid the later VFX work. But the story was unoriginal and full of fan service. All material is borrowed from other Alien films. It was like someone watched the entire Alien series and noted all the good and memorable parts and then made a movie. The CGI for a certain character was also horrible and looked like someone did it on their phone.
I liked "Prey" and I admire the story because they did something original. I liked Fede "Don'don't breathe" and went to see the movie without any prior knowledge. I wish they had done something original with Romulus and I am very disappointed with the lack of originality in the film. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are the essence of science fiction.
