This is a stripped down Windows 10 operating system based on build 1511 – 10586 (also known as November Update or TH2). The minimum system requirements remain the same as expected, however this customized version of Windows should run faster than the original due to the number of changes made listed below.
On my profile there is also the first version, which is 64-bit. *** IMPORTANT NOTE: WHEN YOU GET THE “GET STARTED QUICKLY” SCREEN, SELECT CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS AND THEN UNCHECK EVERYTHING FOR WINDOWS TO WORK *** System Requirements •Processor: 1 Gigahertz (GHz) or faster processor with NX /PAE SSE2 (If Windows 8 worked, this will work too) • RAM: 1 GB for 64-bit (technically only 512 MB is needed) • Hard Disk Space: 20 GB • Graphics Card: DirectX 9 or higher Changes and information (the most important ones, anyway): – Most Metro apps have been removed, with the exception of Edge, Store, and Calculator.
These will need to be downloaded and installed manually, depending on each computer’s specifications. -Removed some elements of accessibility features -Removed language and support for Cortana -Removed search (Explorer search bar still works) -Removed Windows Media Player -Enabled use of Windows Photo Viewer instead of Metro Photos app, although images are opened in Paint first while the user does not change the default application to Windows Photo Viewer -Hibernate disabled -Page file disabled -Firewall removed (although in some cases it may appear while using the program and the service is not removed because it is necessary) -Windows Update is not removed, but there is no guarantee that it will work because you always disable it yourself via “services.msc” (it still needs to be enabled to install apps from the Store).
Non-UWP games (eg CS:GO) should still work provided you update your drivers
